How it works
Every kid is different. Finally, learning is too.

Hatch a buddy
The first time your kid opens ooli, an egg wobbles, cracks and out pops a baby dino. They pick its colour, something to wear and its voice, and give it a name from our list. It's theirs.

Pick a place on the island
Rex's island has five places, each a game: the Story Treehouse, the Kitchen, the Picnic, Letter Road and the Launch Pad. Tap one and Rex walks there. Rex says every instruction out loud, so kids who can't read yet play on their own.

It plays at their level
Every tap teaches ooli a little more about what your kid knows. The next round is built from that: mostly what they're working on, some review, and a few easy wins. Too hard and it eases off in the same round. Breezing through and it steps up.

They earn stickers to keep
Every finished round earns one sticker for their Sticker Book, and every tenth is something for their buddy to wear. Stickers are keepsakes: no counts, no sets to finish, no streaks, and never for sale.

Rex says goodnight
When the time you set is up, Rex yawns, puts on his pyjamas and the island goes to sleep until tomorrow. No upsell, no pleading, no “one more”.

You see what they're learning
The Parent Hub shows each kid's week in plain numbers, what's getting stronger, what's being practised, and ideas to try away from the screen. No grades, no rankings, no comparing kids.

Where the AI is, and where it isn't
Smart where it helps. Locked down everywhere else.
- Stories from their picks. In Silly Story Builder, AI turns the four picture cards your kid tapped into a short story for Rex to read. On devices with Apple Intelligence, it's written on the device itself.
- Inside our templates only. The AI fills in templates we wrote. It never gets your kid's name or anything personal, only the picture cards and an age.
- Checked before it's heard. Every line passes our kid-safety filter. If anything fails, Rex uses something we wrote ahead, and your kid never notices.
- Marked with foil. Anything made just for your kid wears a holographic foil sticker, so you always know what the AI made.
- Not in the learning engine. Choosing what to practise is plain, predictable code on the device, not a chatbot. No open chat, and kids never type or talk to an AI.
A lion wanted a donut for breakfast, so it went to the park. Everybody there was already eating a donut. The lion was so surprised it started to dance. Now that's the breakfast rule.
Grown-ups only
You hold the keys.
The parent gate
Settings, the plan and anything that leaves the game sit behind a grown-ups-only gate. Kids never see a price, a link or a purchase.
Daily limits and bedtime
A limit for each kid (10, 20, 30, 45, 60 minutes, or off) and a bedtime after which the island sleeps.
Your family's data
Profiles, progress and creations stay on your kid's device until you sign in and give consent. See it, download it or delete it any time.

ooli is coming to iPad and iPhone. We're letting a small group of families try it first, a few at a time.
